This website was designed for the Youths, Adolescents and Young Adults Center (YAYA) of the Mississippi Urban Research Center (MURC) at Jackson State University. MURC is a world-renowned research center, and YAYA is one of their many projects. The YAYA site was designed to inform the public about the center’s goals, services, events/work (courses and trainings), and other information.

I was contracted to design and create a new website for this client, New Lake church. A part from this website, I also designed the client’s business cards, flyers, stickers, rip door hangers, bookmarks, collectors’ cards, letterheads and envelopes.

This website was designed to highlight the church, its beliefs and history; to inform the public about the various ministries of the church; and provide opportunities for non-members to seek assistance through prayer requests, and a way to find outreach information.

The client contacted me to design the layout for her second album, “And When She Had Sung a Song.” Dishmon is a well known gospel singer/artist in the Jackson, Mississippi area. She wanted the cover design to reflect her personality, her talents, and her maturity

These collectors’ cards, business cards and stickers were designed to follow the 2008 Marketing Campaign of the client. This was their first undertaking of such a magnitude and quality. The back of the collectors’ cards includes the ‘Plan of Salvation’ and the business cards are double- sided to accommodate for contact information.

These printed materials were designed as promotional tools for New Lake Church. The church adapted a new image and wanted the design concepts to follow that image. The rip door hangers and postcards/flyers contain the same information, because they serve similar purposes. All three items are double-sided. The back of the bookmark contains the church’s contact information as well as service times and ministry opportunities.

This card was designed for a PublishAmerica author, who requested a business card to promote herself and her writing. The card design reflects the author’s creativity, and the animal drawings are characters from her series of children books.

This Ad was designed as a class project during my studies at Full Sail in Orlando, Florida. Everything including the radio was designed in illustrator. I have included this in my portfolio because it is a great concept for clients to use for their product prototypes or concepts or for use when an actual product is unavailable.

These particular designs are for the “Capacity-Building, Skills-Building Courses” offered by YAYA. The Courses are being taught in different states throughout the United States.

I was contracted to conceptualize and design the church’s first logo. This was the first design concept presented to the church leaders and it was immediately approved as the official logo of the church. I also created the church’s new image, which included color scheme, this logo, website and other printed materials.

The 3Phaces logo was designed to represent uniqueness and creativity, since the client is a writer and wanted something professional and different. Not only was the’3’ used to make the ‘P’, but the two together represents a pen/pencil, a tool used by writers. The reflection of the logo also represents most of the writers’ work, which is a reflection of her life.

This logo was designed for a worship choir, founded and organized by Minister Benjamin Cone. The choir is well known in Mississippi, as well as in other states. The logo had to represent praise and worship, and easily recognizable as a faith-based group.

Delta Health Initiative (DHI) is a program designed by the Mississippi Urban Research Center (MURC) at Jackson State University to manage the center’s HIV/AIDS Prevention Project. This logo was designed to incorporate the HIV/AIDS initiative, as well as the community it serves, which is the Delta, a lush rural area in Mississippi.
